Today is the day. July 12th 2019 was the start of my Intermittent Fasting regiment. I was hoping to complete two weeks - because they say that it because a habit and it's all down hill from there. Well today, I have not stayed on my intermittent fasting plan for two weeks but for two years and YES I've been maintained a low weight throughout these two years! I've tried calorie reduction diets, but always ended up heavier then I start, and my weight was up and down every year. Anyway i don't know if IM is right for you, but it worked for me in a big way!

Each fast began after a standardized meal, the first fast starting without exercise and the other with a challenging treadmill workout. Every two hours while awake, the subjects completed hunger and mood assessments and recorded their levels of B-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), a ketone-like chemical. Exercise made a big difference: when participants exercised, they reached ketosis on average three and a half hours earlier in the fast and produced 43% more BHB. The theory is that the initial exercise burns through a substantial amount of the body’s glucose, prompting a quicker transition to ketosis. Without exercise, the participants hit ketosis

I've discovered that while a 16 hour fast is nice, fat burning does not really kick in until you are doing over 18 hours. 2.  You need to do a clean fast - that means that during your fast window, you can only have water, black coffee or black tea.  No to favored water, cream in your coffee, even gum or mints.  Clean means, clean. 3. Fasting is hard the first 2 - 3 days, but then it becomes increasingly easier. I recommend starting with a smaller fasting window (like 16 hour) and slowly increasing the time. 4.  I have foun
